THE HISTORY OF JAMA'ATIL IZALATIL BIDIAH WA IKAMATI SUNNAH, NATIONAL HEADQUARTER JOS, USMANU DANFIDIYO UNIVERSITY, SOKOTO CHAPTER
The existence of jama'atul izalatil bidiah wa ikamati sunnah, national headquarters Jos, founded by late Sheikh Isma'ila Idris In Zakariyyah Jos, gave some members who were then students in the Usmanu Danfodiy University, Sokoto in 2004, the zeal to establish and bring in to existence of branch of the Association in the university This was with the aims of propagatin the religion of Islam and fostering brotherhood among the students under the mother umbrella.
In order to achieve the above objectives and due to some challenges faced by students in campus, people who had interacted with each other of different forum and those identified on personal relationship met and discussed the way we can be united and form a campus chapter of the association
At that time, we observed that in the campus, there were no teachings books related to qeedah/Tauheed and Fighul Malikiyya, what was given emphasis was the teaching of differences of opinion on Fighu matters, such as Sadlu and Qabdu, triple divorce on one prononouncement declared to be one divorce by some people, etc.In view of the circumstances, when the new executives officers of the Muslim Students Society (MSS) of the university were to be appointed, we attended the interview. but we were rejected on the ground that we belongs to IZALAH JOS Infact, those that were not known to be part of us were appointed as MSS EXCOS, and those given accommodation were removed and told to vacate the rooms belonging to MSSEXCOS.
It was then, agreed that the notices to be placed on strategic locations within the university.
inviting members to attend meeting of a larger house so that there can be formal discussion.
The scheduled meeting was blessed with the attendance of many students who were members of jama'atul izalatil bidi'ah wa ikamati sunnah, headquarters Jos ‚in their various places of origin and were not identified before then At the said meeting the reached decisions were taken which include nomination/appointment of the executives. arrangement for registration with the university, sources of incomes for running the association, educative programs and so on.

The registration of the association with the university as a branch of the national headquarters Jos, was headed by Ibrahim Musa Rijau with the cooperation and active participation of other members of the committee, and it was successfully done. The members of the association were able to coordinate the commencement of Congregational five daily prayers in a masjid at ZooBlock Different Ta'alimata were also commenced where in books on tauhid, fighu and books of Shehu Usmanu Danfodiyo were taught between Magrib and Isha.
The conceiving of the idea to establish the association and it is actual registration was during the era of Professor T.M.Bande, who was then the Vice Chancellor of Usmanu Danfodiyo University. Sokoto.
During the registration process, a constitution was drafted for the association and names of the excos as well as the grand patrons from the lecturers and staffs of the university were submitted. Some of the patrons are:late Dr. A.A. Malami, Professor Sani Sagir, Professor (Barr)M.I. Said, and Dr. M. K. Jabo. We were faced with the challenges of not been familiar with the JIBWIS NATIONAL HEADQUARTERS JOS, by the officers of the university in charge of the registration of the association, so." national headquarters. Jos "was removed on the letter of registration, but we insisted that it must be included. It was later possible with the intervention ofour patrons.
After the successful completion of the registration of the association, we organized and hosted a seminar (MUHADARA) on 17 September, 2006, in the campus and we invited four lecturers where they delivered lectures on Tauheed.
They are: Late Dr. A.A.Malami, Prof (Barr) M.I Sa'id Prof. Sani Sagir Sokoto and Late Malam Dahiru Na'ibi. Due to the commitments by the founding members and respect for the ulama'u, we paid a courtesy visit to Sheikh Sa'idu Hassan Jingir and Alaramma Yahuza Bauchi during the Ramadan Tafsir at Sokoto on 22nd September, 2006.
During the tenure of the pioneer
excos, several meetings, consultation,
visitations, renovations of mosques provision of Islamic Books in the mosques and other activities and programs took place. In the year 2006, the pioneer excos invited the Chairmen of Ulama'u council of JIBWIS of Sokoto Kebbi and Zamfara branches. Ustaz Abubakar Usman Mabera, Ustaz Abdurrahman Isah Jega and Ustaz Abdullahi Umar Dalla-dalla, to grace the handing over ceremony, wherein lectures were delivered, funds were raised and that marked the end of our tenure as the first excos of this great association. Many academic and non academic staffs graced the occasion.
In conclusion, we pray Allah to forgive the founder of this noble and great association, Late Assheikh Isma'ila Iris Jos.
May Allah continue to guide and protect the current leaders of the association under the National Chairman Of Ulama'u
